HOW TO USE THE RTX REMOTE CONTROL WITH OUR MOTION SENSOR LIGHTS
Introducing our versatile remote control, designed to simplify the programming of motion sensors for a wide range of Rugged Grade lights (see notes). With the convenience of this remote control, you can effortlessly program multiple lights using just one device.
To set it up our motion sensors with the remote, please follow these steps:
IMPORTANT: Before you start programming your remote, remove the plastic prong protector from the sensor.

Before starting, press the reset button on the remote to clear any previous programming.

Daylight Setting: Ensure the light is set to "On" for dusk to dawn feature. If it's off, press and hold the eye symbol to activate it. Set the daylight sensitivity to 100. Adjust it to 50 if the light comes on too early in the evening.

Brightness: Set it to 100% for the desired brightness when motion is detected.
Hold Time: Determine how long you want the light to stay at full brightness after detecting motion. Once the selected time has passed, it will dim down to the selected dim percentage.
Standby Dim: Choose how dim you want the light to be when there is no motion.
Standby Time: Decide how long you want the light to stay dim when there is no motion. We recommend selecting the infinite option.

Sensitivity: Start with a sensitivity of 75% and adjust it lower if you find it to be too sensitive.
Daylight: Adjust the sensitivity of the photocell to detect the desired amount of light. A higher number means it will turn on when it's brighter, while a lower number means it will activate in darker conditions. Start at 50 and adjust as needed.
Once you have selected all the settings on the remote, walk over to the fixture and press the send button on the remote. You will notice the fixture dimming, indicating that it has accepted the settings.

How to use the Nextgen 3 Motion Sensor Light Remote Control to Program - Instructional video
Description: How to use the Nextgen 3 Motion Sensor Light Remote control to program - Instructional video on programming the nextgen III series LED Parking lot lights.
USAGE AND SETUP TIPS
- Requires 2 quantity AAA Batteries (not included)
- Best to use remote at night or dusk. Remote lights (on the remote itself) may be hard to see and IR distance is better. Easier to see light onboard the sensor as well. (sensor has a single light indicating command received).
- Remote is IR (infrared) based; distance average of 30 feet indoors. Requires direct line of sight. (no glass, no interference, new batteries). NOTE: Sunlight, electromagnetic ballasts, and similar etc. will reduce the remote distance to under 10'. We recommend programming lights that are positioned above 20 feet before descending or attempting adjustments again, especially during nighttime or when closer to the lights.
- Brightness Settings: 70%/80%/90%/100%. This is brightness level for WITH motion or just on.
- Daylight Settings 10lx, 30lx, 50lx, 100lx (use a lower setting if the light is coming on too early or on cloudy days. If its coming on at 10lx on a dark day that will be normal) NOTE: daylight delay is 3 minutes. This means changes in light will take 3 minutes to be seen. If programming for dusk to dawn settings, you will need to wait 3 minutes before it responds. The long delay avoids it going on and off with headlights or other lighting changes.
- Hold Time at Brightness Setting with Motion: 10s/1Min/10Min/30Min
- Sensitivity Settings: 20%/50%/75%/100%. Note: The 100% max distance can be up to 50' but may pick up plants in the wind or other objects blowing. The sensor beam angle comes out around 100 degrees wide, so similar/slightly narrower to the light pattern.
- Standby Dim Level: 10%/20%/30%/50%
- Standby Dim Time: infinite (always some light) /1Min/30Min/60Min
- Test button for testing motion sensitivity. 3 sec hold time with motion when in Test mode.
