One of the most common requests we get is to replace 1000 watt metal halides. To do this you need about 40,000 lumens. 1000 watt Metal halides actually start off closer to 80,000 lumens (some labels will claim even higher) but after a couple of years its below 40,000. So 40,000 will feel like a 1 year old metal halide.
