Replacing 1000 watt metal halide lights with LED

One of the most common requests we get is to replace 1000 watt metal halides.   To do this you need about 40,000 lumens.    1000 watt Metal halides actually start off closer to 80,000 lumens (some labels will claim even higher) but after a couple of years its below 40,000.    So 40,000 will feel like a 1 year old metal halide.

40K lumens is more than any of our LED corn light bulbs or retrofit kits so you have to look at fixtures.   We do carry a 240 watt 32,000 lumen retrofit kit that works if you don't need quite as much light.

We carry some 300 watt LED Parking Lot lights that work very well in this application.  Using our NextGen or PRO series pole lights will easily replace the light output of that 1000 watt Metal halide or High pressure sodium

See the image for a dealership project.  44 lights replaced and it's noticeably brighter.   Much like it looked when the metal halides were new.    Save 70% off the energy bill and know it will stay that way with the DLC Premium Certification.
